The integration of microwave photonic systems holds significant importance as it enables the realization of cost-effective, compact, and high-performance solutions suitable for practical applications. Integrated microwave photonic systems have been demonstrated on various material platforms, including silicon-on-insulator, silicon nitride, thin-film lithium niobate, and III/V materials, among others. Additionally, advancements in related areas such as integrated comb sources and photonic neural networks have opened up new possibilities within the integrated microwave photonics field. In this session, we will discuss recent developments in integrated microwave photonics and their potential applications in high-speed communications, radar technology, and signal processing.
