Session Infomation

As time serves as a novel degree of freedom for wave control and manipulation, there has been a significant growth of interest in time-variant systems. Example topics of this focus session include time-switching, time-modulated metasurfaces, photonic time crystals, and spatiotemporal metamaterials, among others. Progresses in the fundamental principles, exotic wave characteristics and phenomena, topological and non-Hermitian physics, possible applications, as well as practical implementations and experimental advances of time-variant systems across the range of microwave, terahertz, and optical spectrum, are all welcome.
