PETER M. VAN DEN BERG, PhD, is a Professor Emeritus in Electromagnetic Theory in the Department of Applied Sciences at Delft University of Technology. He was a consultant for Shell International, Petroleum GEO-Services, Schlumberger-Doll Research and ASML. He is (co-)author of 159 publications in international refereed journals and  37 chapters in peer reviewed books, 6 books, 156 international conference papers and 58 international conference abstracts, editorship of 3 special issues of an international refereed journal. Further he is a Fellow of the Electromagnetics Academy. His last book is Forward and Inverse Scattering Algorithms Based on Contrast Source Integral Equations, published by Wiley, completed with a website of Matlab routines for 1D, 2D and 3D models. Further, he is (co-)inventor of 16 patents.
