Biography

Dr Shubo Wang is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at City University of Hong Kong (CityU). Before joining CityU, he worked as a Visiting Scholar in Prof. Che Ting Chan’s group at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) during 2013-2017. He received B.S. from Shandong University in 2009 and Ph.D. from HKUST in 2013. Dr Wang’s research interests include chiral light-matter interactions, angular momentum, non-Hermitian optics, singular optics, and optical forces. He has published about 40 papers in peer reviewed journals including Nature Communications, Science Advances, Physical Review Letters, and Physical Review X, among which some are selected as "Editors' Suggestion" and highlighted as "News and Views" in Nature Photonics. He has delivered 15 keynote/invited talks at international conferences and is the recipient of William Mong Outstanding Paper Award.
