I am a Leading researcher, Professor, and the Head of the RTU Communication Technologies Research Center (RTU ComTech) at the Institute of Photonics, Electronics and Telecommunications (previously known as the Institute of Telecommunications) at Riga Technical University, Riga, Latvia. My research interests include but are not limited to the development and research of WDM fiber optical access networks, radio-over-fiber technologies, 5G, passive optical network technologies, digital signal processing, and others.
