Aobo Ren received his B.S. and Ph.D. degree from the material physics, Sichuan University, China, in 2014 and 2019, respectively. He was a joint Ph.D. student at Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology, University of Tokyo, from 2017 to 2019. After receiving his Ph.D. degree, he joined University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) as postdoctoral Fellow. From 2020 to 2021, he worked as visiting researcher at Advanced Technology Institute, University of Surrey. He is an associated professor at UESTC since 2022. His research interests include semiconductor heterostructures, photodetectors and lasers.
