Biography

Cheng-Nan Hu (M’96-2013) received the B.S. degree from electronic engineering from Chung-Cheng Institute of Technology, Taiwan, R.O.C., in 1982, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan, R.O.C., in 1989 and 2000, respectively.

From 1982 to 2000, he was with Chung Shan Institute of Science and Technology (CSIST), Taiwan, R.O.C., where he was involved with phased array and reflector antenna design. Since 2006, he has been an associated professor with Communication Engineering, Oriental Institute of Technology, Taipei, Taiwan, R.O.C..  His research activities involved the design and development of active/passive microstrip leaky-mode antennas, small antennas, beamforming architecture for MIMO antennas, and EMC for mixed-signal system boards.
