Biography

Yayun Cheng received the B.S. degree in applied physics from Hefei University of Technology, Hefei, China, in 2012, and the Ph.D. degree in electronic engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, in 2018. From 2019 to 2021, he was a Post-Doctoral Fellow with the Department of Engineering Physics, Tsinghua University, and the National Engineering Laboratory for Dangerous Articles and Explosives Detection Technologies, Beijing, China. He is currently an Associate Professor with School of Electronics and Information Engineering, Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, China, since 2021. He has authored over 30 papers in peer-reviewed journals and conferences. His research interests include microwave remote sensing, millimeter-wave and terahertz imaging, polarization imaging, multi-source image processing and information extraction. Dr. Cheng received the Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award of China Education Society of Electronics in 2019.
