A. Multi-scale & Multi-physics Modeling
1. Computational Electromagnetics;
2. High-Performance Computing (MPI, Open MP, Fortran, C, C++, Matlab, Python, Mathematica, et al.);
3. Discontinuous Galerkin method applied to the explicit & implicit FDTD & FEM;
4. Perfectly Matched Layer (PML);
5. Hybrid Numerical Methods.

B. Machine-Learning-based Inverse Design of Multi-scale structures with/without 2D Materials
1. Adaptive artificial neural network;
2. Express wavenet (ExWave) & efficient diffractive neural network which adopts much fewer parameters;
3. Gradient boosting decision tree (GBDT).

Biography

Naixing Feng received the B.S. degree in Electronic Science and Technology and the M.S. degree in Micro-Electronics and Solid-State electronics from Tianjin Polytechnic University, Tianjin, China, in 2010 and 2013, respectively. He studied and worked as a Visiting Scholar supported by the CSC in the department of electrical and computation engineering from 2015 to 2016 in Duke University, USA. He received his Ph.D. degree in the College of Electronic Science and Technology from Xiamen University, Xiamen, China, in 2018. He was Associate Professor of Institute of Microscale Optoelectronics, Shenzhen University in 2018-2021, China. And he is Guest researcher of the State Key Laboratory of Applied Optics, Changchun Institute of Optics, and Fine Mechanics and Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2020-2022, China. Now he is currently Associate Professor, school of Electronic and Information Engineering, Anhui University, China. He has appeared around 58 papers published by refereed international journals and conference, is the holder of 5 patents, and hosted four projects. His current research interests are mainly in the areas of computational electromagnetics and acoustics, machine learning, geophysics, nanophotonics and 2D materials and their applications.
