Note: You cannot take part in both the Best Student Paper Award and the Young Scientist Award. The YSA/BPSA full papers are to be reviewed only by the judges. During the full-length paper submission process, authors can choose to publish or not to publish their papers in PIERS Proceedings. PIERS Proceedings will be submitted to IEEE Xplore for publication within one month after the conference dates.

7. Best Student Paper Award (details)

A student competing for best student paper award must be listed as the first author as well as the presenting author of a paper submitted for oral presentation. A full-length paper of 5-10 pages is required for the evaluation of the technical quality.


8. Best Student Poster Paper Award (details)

A student competing for best student poster paper award must be listed as the first author as well as the presenting author of a paper submitted for oral presentation. The Awards Committee will select a certain number of poster papers to form several sessions. Every BSPPA applicant in each session will give a short summary oral presentation in ppt (150 seconds countdown timer will be set for each presenter), and no time for questions will be provided.


9. Young Scientist Award (details)

The applicant must have PhD degree in science/engineering and under 40 years of age by the conference date. The applicant must be listed as the first author as well as the presenting author of a paper presentation. A curriculum vitae with publication list must be submitted together with the abstract. A full-length paper of 5-10 pages is required for the evaluation of the technical quality.
