1_FocusSession.SC1: Casimir Effect and Heat Transfer 1
Organized by Prof. Mauro Antezza (Universite de Montpellier, France) and Prof. Brahim Guizal (University of Montpellier, France)
Session's Information:
This workshop concerns the field of quantum electrodynamics and light-matter interaction, in particular the topics: Casimir effect in and out of thermal equilibrium, radiative heat transfer, and quantum thermodynamics. This session will focus on the cut-edge theoretical and experimental findings, with the aim of boosting these emerging research fields toward a deeper fundamental and applicative development.

The session will tackle, among others, themes related to quantum thermalization mechanisms, quantum thermal machines, entanglement, metamaterials, light harvesting complexes, thermophotovoltaic cells.
