5_FocusSession.SC5: Inverse Scattering and Imaging Part 1
Organized by Prof. Xudong Chen (National University of Singapore), Prof. Maokun Li (Tsinghua University), and Dr. Aria Abubakar (Schlumberger Houston Formation Evaluation)
Session's Information:
The session welcomes all papers that are related to inverse scattering problems and imaging. Imaging methods of electromagnetic waves (both 2D and 3D) are within the scope of the session. Imaging methods in the electrostatic and magnetostatic regimes, such as electric impedance tomography [EIT], are also welcomed. The session aims at presenting frontier researches in the theories (such as regularization, ill-condition, uniqueness, super-resolution), computations (such as multiple signal classification [MUSIC], time reversal, linear sampling method [LSM], compressive sensing [CS], full-wave nonlinear optimization algorithms, linear approximation approach, high or low frequency approximation, synthetic aperture radar [SAR]), and applications (such as geophysical imaging/detection, ultrasonic imaging, through-wall-imaging, subsurface detection, electric impedance or capacitance tomography, biomedical imaging, near-field optical imaging, non-destructive testing/evaluation, thermo-acoustic or photo-acoustic imaging) of inverse scattering problems. We would like to welcome in the session all papers contributing meaningfully on the subjects above. We especially expect papers that address emerging or novel methodologies and show new results, even if those are not yet fully investigated, but contributions that would review a given field in accord with the session thematic are also sought.
