SC3: Plasmonic and Photonic Nanostructure Surfaces for Manipulations of Light
Organized by Prof. Junpeng Guo (University of Alabama in Huntsville), Prof. Rongjun Zhang (Fudan University), and Prof. Jinfeng Zhu (Xiamen University)
Session's Information:
Plasmonic and photonic nanostructure surfaces can enhance light-matter interactions. Enhanced light-material interactions in nanostructure surfaces can be utilized for many applications such as biochemical sensing, solar energy harvesting, and spectral filtering of light. Examples of plasmonic and photonic surface nanostructures include metal-dielectric-metal gap plasmon structures, optical antennas, guide-mode resonance structures, nano-appertures and nano-cavities, metasurfaces, and etc. This session solicits papers on the topic of plasmonic and photonic nanostructure surfaces involving plasmonic and photonic resonances for controlling absorption, phase, and polarization states of light. Emerging areas of light-matter interactions in epsilon-near-zero materials and 2D materials are also subjects of this session.
