SC3&2: Optoelectronic Simulation Technologies for Photoconversion Devices
Organized by Prof. Xiaofeng Li (Soochow University) and Prof. Zongfu Yu (University of Wisconsin)
Session's Information:
Nanostructured devices for photovoltaic and photodetection applications are popular in recent years due to the outstanding potential in high-efficiency light absorption and conversion. For these devices, the advanced and trustable simulation technologies are extremely useful in order to explore the underlying physics and light-matter interaction and to obtain the optimal device design for high performance. All these devices are typical optoelectronic functional elements, which have to be simulated in both optical and electrical domains. Sometimes, one has also to consider the thermal effect to address the temperature characteristics. The simulation for these kinds of highly complicated systems is challanging. In this session, we welcome the experts in simulating photoconversion devices to join us for sharing the new ideas and simulation technologies. Both invited and contributed submissions are acceptable.
