PIERS2016 Shanghai Focus/Special Sessions
SC1&4: Electromagnetics Modeling Methodologies for Millimeter Wave, Terahertz and Nano Technologies
Organized by Dr. Li Jun Jiang (University of Hong Kong) and Dr. Wei E. I. Sha (The University of Hong Kong)
Session's Information:
Computational electromagnetics is indispensable for millimeter wave, terahertz and nano technologies. It provides physical modeling and generalized numerical solutions to support scientific and engineering explorations. This special session intends to host recent progresses in computational electromagnetics models and methods for simulating emerging electromagnetic phenomena, effects and applications. Novel physical modeling and numerical methods for metamaterials, nanomaterials, graphene, plasmonics, bio-electromagnetics, optical/microwave imaging, optoelectronics, vacuum fluctuation and quantum electrodynamics, electromagnetic-thermal-mechanical problems, electro-fluid problems, spintronics are within the discussion scope of this session.
