SC3: Terahertz Near-field Optics

Session's Information:
Highlighted are the rapidly growing fields of probing, imaging and manipulating the phenomena in the spectral region from terahertz through long-wavelength infrared. Stress is put on the emerging new technologies of unprecedented high-spatial resolution (on nano-meter scales), ultra-high-sensitivity (on individual photon levels), and/or ultra high speed (femtoseconds), which promise to open up new frontiers of science.

While the session will provide an opportunity for leading researchers on the cutting edge of this field to disseminate their latest achievements, it is also intended to serve as a platform of interaction among researchers in the broader field for gaining and exchanging new ideas.
