PIERS2016 Shanghai Focus/Special Sessions
5_FocusSession.SC5: Microwave Remote Sensing Part 1: Land
Organized by Prof. Hong Tat Ewe (Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman) and Prof. Yang Du (Zhejiang University)

Session's Information:
This session invites papers that present latest progress and development in the area of microwave remote sensing of land (including vegetation, forest, agriculture, urban and rural area and all types of land cover). The paper topics can include those on theoretical development, scattering models and wave propagation through the medium, inverse models, sensitivity study of physical parameters on radar returns, comparison of models and measurement data, various applications developed for the remote sensing and general user community with operation models and other areas of interest related to this focus session. This session aims to provide a platform for intellectual exchange on research work, experimental study, collaborations and technology development for the common purpose of advancing this area for better interpretation of microwave remote sensing data and monitoring of earth terrain.
