Pablo Fredes is a physical engineer born in Santiago. He received his B.S. degree in applied physics, master’s degree in philosophy of science, and Dr. Ing. degree from the University of Santiago of Chile (USACH). Dr. Ing. Fredes is Adjunct Professor of the Optics and Semiconductors Laboratory in the Physics Department in USACH. He founded the Hydraluvx Company focused on UV disinfection technologies, and he has been member of the OPTICA (FORMER Optical Society  of America) since 2008 and the International Ultraviolet Association (IUVA) since 2015.
