MUHAMMAD HAZIQ MOHAMMAD SABRI (M.H.M. Sabri) received his B.Sc. in Telecommunication Electronics Engineering in 2016 and his M.Sc. in Electronic Engineering, with a specialization in lightning physics, from Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM) in 2019. In 2023, he completed his Ph.D. in Engineering, specializing in lightning physics and atmospheric sciences, at Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), Malaysia. From 2023 to 2024, he served as a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre of Technology for Disaster Risk Reduction, UTeM. In 2025, he began working as a research fellow in lightning physics and atmospheric electricity at KINDAI University, Osaka, Japan. In 2021, he was awarded the Young Scientist Diploma Award at the International Conference on Lightning Protection (ICLP). His research interests include lightning discharge, propagation mechanisms, and rocket-triggered lightning.
