Dr. Yufei Zhao (Member, IEEE) received the B.Eng. degree (Outstanding Graduates) in Electronic Information Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology, China, in 2014, and the Ph.D. degree in Aeronautical and Astronautical Science and Technology from Tsinghua University, China, in 2020. From 2020 to 2021, he worked as a Senior Engineer at Huawei Technologies Company Ltd., China. From 2021, he worked as a Research Fellow at the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. His current research interests include wireless communication engineering, electromagnetic science, reconfigurable meta-surface, and orbital angular momentum (OAM) technologies.
Dr. Zhao has published more than 60 journal and conference papers. He has 7 granted patents. He serves as a Reviewer for IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, IEEE Internet of Things Journal. He is the guest chair of the Network Journal and Electronics Journal. He served as the session Chair for the 2024 IEEE Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC2024-Spring), the 2024 Asia-Pacific Microwave Conference (APMC 2024), and the IEEE International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications (PIMRC 2025). He was also the recipient of the Young Scientist Award of SWA in both 2022 and 2024, the Best Paper Award of the 2025 International Conference on Internet of Things, Communication and Intelligent Technology (IoTCIT 2025), and the Young Scientist Award of Progress In 2025 Electromagnetics Research Symposium (PIERS 2025).
