Fatih Erden was awarded the title of Associate Professor in Electrical and Electronics Engineering by the Interuniversity Board of Türkiye on November 21, 2018.
He has supervised 11 master’s theses and 1 doctoral thesis in electromagnetics and has been actively involved in delivering lectures, conferences, and seminars domestically and internationally. His scholarly contributions include 1 international book chapter, over 25 scientific articles, and more than 30 conference proceedings. He also led a TÜBİTAK project as Principal Investigator.
Erden’s research interests include time-domain solutions of electromagnetic propagation and scattering problems with the Evolutionary Approach to Electromagnetics (EAE) method and computational algorithms for solving electromagnetic scattering problems.
He is a senior member of both IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) and URSI (Union Radio Scientifique Internationale), and a member of the Italian Society of Electromagnetism (SIEm).
Erden served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Naval Sciences and Engineering from 2022 to 2024 and remains an active referee for numerous international scientific journals and conferences.
His research visits include the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, the University of California, Irvine, Imperial College London, the University of Rome, the University of Split, and the University of Lisbon.
