PIERS2018 Toyama Focus/Special Sessions
MS-1: Mini-symposium on Microwave Photonics 1
Organized by Prof. Christina Lim (The University of Melbourne) and Prof. Jianji Dong (Huazhong University of Science and Technology)
Session's Information:
The field of Microwave Photonics combines radiofrequency engineering and optoelectronics, exploiting the best of both worlds to achieve functionalities that may not be possible otherwise. This field has attracted great interest from both research and industry communities. We would like to organize a Microwave Photonics mini-symposium for PIERS 2018 to showcase this fast-growing field with the newest and high impact research works from researchers all over the world. The mini symposium will tentatively consist of three sessions: “Integrated Solutions for Microwave Photonics”, “Radio-over-Fiber in 5G and beyond” and “Microwave Photonics Signal Processing/Instrumentation”. We welcome contributed papers in this mini symposium.
Organizer's Information:

  • Prof. Christina Lim
