|This session will cover different plasmon-assisted effects taking place in nanoparticles and nano-structures. Such effects play crucial role in many emerging applications, ranging from laser nano-machining to novel energy sources and bio-medical applications. The main objectives are the following
(i) A better understanding of several physical phenomena involved, such as field enhancement, carrier generation, material modification, etc.
(ii) Comparison between the corresponding modeling and experiments.
(iii) Application development.
