SC3: Integrated Photonics for Microwave Signal Processing
Organized by Prof. Linjie Zhou (Shanghai Jiao Tong University) and Dr. Shaoqi Feng (University of California)
 
Session's Information:
The convergence of photonics and microwave engineering is a future development trend, which has attracted lots of research interests in recent years. This session will focus on the presentation of the recent development on integrated photonics used for microwave signal processing. Example topics include: photonic devices and integrated chips based on various material systems such as silica PLC, silicon-on-insulator, InP, LiNbO3, polymer etc; application of optical devices in microwave systems; filtering and logic operation of microwave signals using photonic devices; modulation, control, and detection at microwave frequencies etc.
